Discovering your personal values is an important part of the process when trying to uncover your soul’s life purpose. Having a clear list of values provides insight into the qualities within yourself that are the most crucial.
So, what IS a value?
A value is an internal characteristic or behaviour that is important to you and defines who you are and how you show up in the world. It is a trait that guides you through life and helps you to make decisions.
Your values generally stay with you throughout your life and if there is a shift in your values, it is because of internal influence. Unlike priorities that change throughout your lifetime and shift because of your external environment, values tend to stay consistent and steady.
This week, our focus has been on the values of Gratitude, Empathy, Compassion and Strength.
So, if you are looking to develop your gratitude, empathy, compassion and strength, here is our collection of quotations to motivate you into taking inspired action.
“Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude.” ~A. A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh

“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”
“Be grateful for what you already have while you pursue your goals. If you aren’t grateful for what you already have, what makes you think you would be happy with more.” ~Roy T. Bennett
“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.”

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” ~William Arthur Ward
“When you show deep empathy toward others, their defensive energy goes down, and positive energy replaces it. That’s when you can get more creative in solving problems.”
“Give yourself a gift of five minutes of contemplation in awe of everything you see around you. Go outside and turn your attention to the many miracles around you. This five-minute-a-day regimen of appreciation and gratitude will help you to focus your life in awe.” ~Dr. Wayne Dyer
